SEDCO, Inc. is a Distributor of quality products for consumer, commercial and industrial use for the states of AL, AR, NW-FL, GA, LA, MS, and E-TN. We have been operating as, SEDCO, South Eastern Distributing COmpany, since 1970. Our goal is to establish and continue mutually beneficial relationships with our customers, suppliers and employees, by responding to and service their concerns and needs as a team.
In order for our TEAM at SEDCO to accomplish this goal, we focus on: Customer Service and Technical Support, Sales and Marketing Concepts, Education and Information Technology, Warehousing and Distribution.
Team SEDCO is the combination of our total organization that represents a stable Team with depth and breadth of experience to service and support the combination of market segments that include: Lawn, Garden and Agriculture, Industrial, Commercial and Rental, Construction and Utility, Leisure and Turf.
SEDCO’s outside Territory Sales and Service Managers provide sales and marketing concepts that create opportunities in the form of products, information and promotions. They make personal calls on their customers in the field on a regular basis. Being thoroughly trained on the product lines and the manufacturers policies, they consult with the customer to provide solutions that add value to the product and service. In addition, the TSSMs are available by phone, e-mail and voice mail.
SEDCO’s Customer Service and Technical Support function is anchored by a competent staff comprised of Master Service Technicians. Each representative is thoroughly trained on each manufacturer’s products and policies to assist our customers. They are available directly by phone, fax or e-mail to receive orders, look up parts, trouble shoot and problem solve. SEDCO also provides information on our website through live on-line access for parts catalogs, inventory ordering, shipping and sales information.
SEDCO offers training seminars, workshops and sessions that are custom designed for specific products and customer needs on a continuing basis. These programs offer Technicians first hand opportunities to learn the manufacturer’s most recent technology, updates and policies. To fulfill our commitment to education and training, we have provided a dedicated Education Center complete with a classroom, workshop and an engine test / run room. Our Education Director’s sole responsibility is to train and provide technical support. We feel education is the foundation of our future.
SEDCO owns and distributes from a modern high bay facility with over 81,000 square feet of warehouse and 9,000 square feet of office. The warehouse layout, designed by a consulting service, utilizes a conveyor that automatically directs totes to various zones along with a computerized random location system for systematic storing of pallet, bulk and shelf stock. This system allows faster order processing, picking and product shipment while providing real time tracking on all orders. We maintain a revolving inventory that is more than adequate to meet the demands of our customers and usually ships at a 98%+ order fill rate. If a required item is not in stock, an emergency order will be placed and the item will be shipped directly to the customer from the manufacturer or one of our members warehouse. Same day shipping with next day receiving is available for our entire shipping area.
